One of the best things about what we do at F One is getting early access to new technology before it officially launches. It means we can test it properly, understand how it performs in real workplaces, and make sure it’s something we’d be happy to recommend to our customers.
Recently, we were invited by Yealink to try out their upcoming range of business handsets, the T87W, T85W, and T73W. These are the latest models in their popular T8 and T7 series, designed to make business communication even simpler and more reliable.
Putting Them to the Test
Rather than just reading about the features, we put the phones to work. We installed them in our own offices and on a few different systems to see how they performed day-to-day, exactly how our customers would use them. The goal was simple: are they easy to set up, do they sound great, and are they reliable? The answer to all three was yes! Calls connected quickly, the sound quality was crystal clear, and even when we pushed the WiFi to its limits, the connection stayed strong.
What We Liked Most
A few things really stood out:
- Excellent call quality. Every call sounded sharp and professional, even over WiFi.
- Quick and easy setup. Each phone was ready to go in just a few minutes, with updates handled automatically.
- Strong WiFi performance. Perfect for offices where running cables isn’t ideal.
- Simple, modern design. The new screens are brighter and easier to read, with menus that make sense.
- Great compatibility. Works seamlessly with most business phone systems and headsets, including Bluetooth and USB options.
Room for Improvement
No new product is perfect, and Yealink have already had our feedback. The main area to improve is WiFi roaming, in busy offices with multiple access points, the handsets could switch between signals a little faster.
The Verdict
Overall, these new Yealink handsets impressed us. They’re quick to install, simple to use, and deliver the quality and reliability we always look for before recommending a product. For businesses, that means less downtime, clearer calls, and a smoother experience all round.
We’re looking forward to seeing these models become available soon, and we’ll be ready to roll them out to customers who want the very latest in business phone technology.
