At F One, we recently helped Total Utilities take a major step forward in modernising its technology infrastructure, delivering a complete IT and telephony upgrade to support the next stage of their growth.
With a team of more than 50 outbound telesales operators, their business relies heavily on fast, reliable and high performance communication tools. Unfortunately, their existing cloud phone system had reached the end of its useful life and was no longer able to support the pace or scale of the operation.
For several years, Total Utilities had been dealing with an outdated online telephony platform that offered little to no support and suffered from repeated outages. It was clear this was having a direct impact on productivity, morale and growth, which is why they asked us to design and deliver a full technology transformation.
A Modern Communications Platform Built for Performance
We replaced the legacy phone system with the Elevate cloud communications platform, a secure, flexible and scalable solution designed to grow alongside the business.
The rollout included mobile and PC softphone applications, giving the team the flexibility to work wherever and whenever needed. This was supported by new Yealink headsets, ensuring clear and consistent audio quality across a busy telesales environment.
Elevate brings together a powerful suite of communication and collaboration tools, including integrated contact centre functionality and seamless mobile and desktop applications. This all in one approach allows Total Utilities to communicate more efficiently, reliably and securely across the entire business.
A New IT Foundation: Smarter, Safer and Fully Supported
Alongside the telephony upgrade, we supplied and installed 51 new Hewlett-Packard PCs, fully configured with Elevate and Microsoft 365. These were deployed to complement the company’s existing WiFi setup and provide the team with the tools they need to work smarter and support future expansion.
One of the biggest changes for Total Utilities has been the introduction of dedicated IT support for the first time. We’ve worked closely with the team to help them get real value from Microsoft 365, including shared calendars, groups, SharePoint and improved security controls.
The wider IT rollout also included Acronis endpoint and email security, backup solutions, and ongoing IT support and guidance. This means the team not only has the right technology in place, but also the confidence and support to use it properly.
